This policy describes the Ruto macOS app distributed on the Mac App Store (“Ruto”). Ruto routes links you choose to browsers installed on your Mac.
Data not collected
Ruto does not collect personal information, browsing history, or usage data, and it does not send that information to the developer or to a third party.
- Rules, settings, and analytics stay on your Mac.
- Ruto does not require an account.
- Ruto does not include advertising or tracking.
- The Mac App Store version does not contact the network.
Information stored on your Mac
Ruto stores the rules you create, the browsers you choose, and optional local analytics about links opened through Ruto. That information is used only to apply your rules and to show analytics inside the app. You can delete rules and clear analytics in the app. Removing Ruto removes the app’s local data in its sandbox container.
If you import or export rules or bookmarks, Ruto reads or writes only the files you select.
This website
ruto.saiumesh.dev is a separate website. It may use Vercel Web Analytics to count anonymous page views. That does not apply to the Ruto Mac app.
